Myriam Mahiques, Assoc. AIA - MAHIQUES INBUILT DESIGNS
Myriam B. Mahiques is an architect who graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires (FADU) in 1986. She has collaborated in many architectural and construction firms, developed projects and constructions as an independent professional in Buenos Aires and California, USA. She participated in competitions and exhibitions on the subjects of architecture and painting. In the Academy, she has been chief of practical exercises at the chairs of Architectural Design Goldemberg and Grinberg. She has been a researcher for the Institute EFUR (Function of Urban Evolution); for FOINDI (FADU), on "Technology for the Megalopolis" and "Technology in the primitive man". In 2001 she was assigned the fellowship NuevaTec, from the Ministry of Education and FADU to continue her investigation on the subject "Urban Morphology and Fractal Design" at the Laboratory of Mathematics and Design. Being Urban Morphology the field of her main expertise, she is currently an ad Honorem researcher for the Center Poiesis (FADU) and active associate of AIA Long Beach.
She has many publications on Urban Morphology and presentations in national and international symposiums.
