An Architect’s Perspective on the Value of the Annual AIA|LA Design For Dignity Conference:
“Every year Design for Dignity provides an opportunity for the architecture community to learn about policies, strategies, and projects that create built and service solutions to the homeless housing crisis. Unhoused individuals and families suffer daily from the indignities of their lives. They need housing, in its many forms, to provide places of safety and comfort, where they can obtain services that will help them focus on rebuilding their lives and to hopefully regain productive positions in society. Design for Dignity provides architects with examples of real-time solutions to design and constructability issues and to policy changes in place or needed.”
