COVID19 LA Response: Can You Use 3D Printing Tools to Produce N95 Masks and other Equipment? Please Fill in this Survey.

04/03/20 COVID19 – Call for Action

Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office is ramping up production of pseudo N95 masks and safety shields for area hospitals. As part of this urgent initiative, the AIA|LA has been asked to survey members for 3D printing capabilities and ability to manufacture as early as the week of April 6.

Please take the survey below so that the Mayor’s office can connect production capacity to total number of PPEs needed in area hospitals. (We will share information gathered  here with the Mayor’s office.)

Many of you are working with Alvin Huang, AIA, and the USC School of Architecture. The Mayor’s program will begin once production for Keck has completed and it will use the same designs as approved by Keck and NIH.

But time is critical. PPEs are urgently needed by area hospitals to take care of the people of Los Angeles.

Please share this survey with firms and/or companies who have similar capabilities.

And of course, take it yourself.
