Michael Chang, AIA
Special Services Studio Principal, AC Martin
Michael is the Special Services Studio Principal at AC Martin with close to 20 years of experience in the industry. He has expertise working on a wide range of project types and delivery methods, specializing in projects that are highly technical and tight schedule while maintaining client standards and quality control.

Vice Chair

Anne Algaze, AIA, CID, LEED AP, IIDA

I serve as Chief Operating Officer at SAA interiors + architecture, a national award-winning design firm dedicated to delivering integrated solutions to the commercial real estate industry with artistry and savvy. In my role, I oversee both the long-term strategy and day to day operations of the firm.

As an architect by training, I have always been passionate about the intersection of design and business. With over two decades of experience, specializing in design thinking, strategic leadership, business development, and operations management, my expertise spans a wide array of areas including financial analysis, P&L management, and process improvement. My goal? To drive business growth that delivers high-impact results and build cultures and create new leaders.

Lauren Coles, AIA
Senior Associate, CO Architects
Lauren Coles has more than 15 years of experience managing project design, planning, documentation and stakeholder coordination for top-tier institutional projects. She brings an entrepreneurial, take-ownership mindset to large-scale healthcare, academic and science & technology projects. As a licensed architect, Lauren is devoted to supporting young designers on their road to architecture licensure and provides mentorship and guidance as AXP/ARE licensing supervisor at CO Architects.

Sam Keville
Studio BIM Leader – Digital, NBBJ

Sam is a Studio BIM Leader and director of project BIM standards, workflows, and teams. He uses this position to support the growth of skillsets and promote team members to achieve project goals along with studio and firmwide initiatives. Through working on both projects and firm teams, he values the feedback from the work, clients, and teams to build new processes which can be applied directly to the project and at the firmwide scales. Among his proudest accomplishments are identifying and advocating for young designers into lead positions, empowering new sustainability goals, maintaining and growing a deployable firmwide dynamo library, and building multiple companies with a Revit culture where people feel comfortable to talk about their needs and experience. With a background and accomplishments in design, passion for architectural drawings and design development, and history of delivering in construction drawings through construction administration, Sam is driven and self-motivated, always working to improve the design process.

Mr. Skowvron is a dynamic figure at Gruen Associates, dedicated to harnessing technology for enhanced processes and enduring innovation. Since his arrival in 2018, he has led the charge in introducing groundbreaking technological advancements throughout the firm, spanning across the architecture, planning, interiors, and landscape divisions. Beyond his technical acumen, Mr. Skowvron’s knack for building genuine connections makes him a natural leader, motivating his team to embrace challenges with a shared enthusiasm for pushing boundaries. His unwavering commitment to driving progress and fostering positive change fuels a culture of innovation, inspiring all levels of his organization.
