Carlos Augusto Garcia, AIA, NCARB, WELL AP

Carlos Augusto Garcia, AIA, NCARB, WELL AP, is an architect, artist, and Associate Principal at Brooks + Scarpa, where he champions design as a catalyst for equity and resilience. A recipient of the 2025 AIA National Young Architects Award, Carlos is a recognized leader in sustainable policy and practice, formerly serving on the AIA National Committee on the Environment (COTE) Leadership Group and contributing to international standards with ASHRAE and the ICC. Locally, he actively shapes the Los Angeles built environment as a Director on the AIA|LA Board, Co-Chair of the Government Outreach Committee, and a co-author of the Strategic Plan. With a background forged in the recovery of post-Katrina New Orleans, Carlos Augusto is dedicated to empowering the next generation of design leaders while advancing a zero-carbon, inclusive future for the profession.
