AIA|LA Architecture in Healthcare Committee Presents
Exploring the Edges

Wednesday, August 17, 2022

Please join the AIA|LA Healthcare Committee for PURPOSEFUL 2022 – in-person, outdoors, and vaccinated – on Wednesday August 17th, from 4:30-7:30pm.  With the long-term goal of accelerating positive changes and better outcomes in health care environments, our 4th annual interactive symposium will seek more efficient ways of broadening healthcare’s reach to all segments of the population.

During Purposeful 2021: REBOOTING HEALTHCARE – we asked ourselves: If we could click “Restart” – what would we stop doing, keep doing, and change to make healthcare delivery faster and more economical, responsive to change, equitable, and accessible to the community?

During Purposeful 2022: EXPLORING THE EDGES – we will roll up our sleeves and advance last year’s key takeaways and to develop design ideas, in the form of concept and diagrams, to address specific health problems facing an underserved community member and ponder the potential solutions outside of the centralized medical center to meet their specific needs.

Our event will feature refreshments, moderated discussions, interactive group activities, and in-person networking with a diverse panel of owner and clinical experts. Together, we will collectively share and takeaway many bright ideas and help spark some new solutions to move us forward in healthcare design and delivery.
