2025 City Leaders Breakfast Series Presented By:
The 2025 AIA|LA City Leaders Breakfast Series allows architects & designers, and other community stakeholders to meet directly with key individuals transforming Los Angeles in a roundtable setting to discuss innovative ideas to ensure a healthy, sustainable, and economically competitive future.
Michael Baim – VP, Venue Infrastructure (VNI), Energy (NRG), and Look & Sign (LNS), LA 28
Mike Baim joined LA28 as the Vice President of Venue Infrastructure in April of 2025. He oversees design, planning, procurement, and delivery of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games venue infrastructure, energy, look, and signage.
Mike served in the U.S. Army as an engineer officer, completing more than 27 years on active duty, including tours in Nicaragua, Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He commanded and led engineers and technicians in arduous environments, including disaster relief and other operations. Mike holds numerous military awards and decorations, including the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat action.
Mike graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. He is a graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies, Fort Leavenworth, KS, and the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA. Mike holds master’s degrees in business administration, public administration, military art and science, and strategic studies.
