To further the profession, the AIA requires its members to complete 18 continuing education hours (CES LUs) per year. Of these, at least 12 hours must qualify as Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW).

AIA|LA, community partners, and AIA|LA Committees organize conferences, seminars, presentations, and tours that offer over 120 CES LUs a year.
