With the completion of their first mental health and wellness campus, Be Well aims to bring together a robust, community-based, cross-sector strategy – public, private, academic, faith, & others to create a coordinated ecosystem to support optimal mental health. This facility serves as the first of three Be Well campuses planned for Orange County, California. Located in the City of Orange, the three-story, 60,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Campus will provide best-in-class mental health and substance use treatment to all Orange County residents. The Campus features mental health crisis stabilization services and Orange County’s first sobering/recovery station. Residential treatment programs are also available, along with integrated support for both the client and their family. The campus has 93 beds and the capacity to treat about 100 people each day. The Owner and Architect will discuss how partnerships were coordinated to develop a design that responded to the specific integrated care model set forth by Mind OC and its partners, and how lessons from the initial campus development will be carried forward to streamline future site design and program implementation.
