Archi-Parenthood: How to master the COVID days with home schooling, zoom calls and the new routine.

For all AIA members, women and men working from home, doing zoom meetings, helping the kids with homework, their art projects and PE classes, while exercising, cooking & cleaning……….. and working, there is help coming your way!

WiA will be hosting a call with a behavioral therapist and a teacher, to help you deal and juggle the new COVID routine, parenthood and provide you some tips on how to make all the schedules work, while staying mentally healthy.

Panelist: Anita Zoroghlian, LMFT – Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, psychotherapist Kaiser Permanente

Anita’s education started with a bachelors degree at UCLA and continued on to get her Masters in Marriage Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute in 1997, where she specialized in Child and Family therapy, and trained in Play Therapy. She has been a licensed therapist since 2004. She developed an interest in alternative methods, which took her to study Integrative Body, Somatic Experiencing Trauma release, and EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique, which she currently uses along with the other techniques to help calm the nervous system and move through blocks, to experience a more vital and engaged self. She has worked with many adults, kids and families, from private practice setting, to Optimist Youth Homes with at risk youth.
She currently Works at Kaiser Permanente’s Psychiatry department, having redesigned the Work Stress Clinic intensive program, and the Teen Intensive Outpatient Program. She runs the Work Stress Clinic as well as a coping skills group for teens in High School. She enjoys working with all age groups, and loves helping kids and their families get along better, and see the best in each other. She loves spending time with family and friends, and loves to write and perform music.

Presenter: Beth Wu – K-5th grade teacher, Walnut Valley Unified School District

Beth has been teaching at elementary schools for the past 20 years. As a classroom teacher, she taught most grades, from 1st to 6th grade. Her position of the past five years is with Walnut Unified as a Title 1 teacher. She primarily provides small group intervention instruction for struggling students. Her credentials are from SDSU and master from CSULB. She is also a proud mother of an eight year old son and a five year old daughter.
