Meet the Practices – Michael W. Folonis Architects

The AIA|LA Professional Practices Committee invites the AEC community to join us for an evening of networking, drinks, and refreshments at their next quarterly “Meet the Practices” mixer.

Michael W. Folonis Architects (MW.FA) was founded in 1983. The design philosophy at (MW.FA) is to engage in a constant working awareness of culture, technology, history, sustainability and social relevance. We employ these fundamental components in every stage of research, design and development.

MW.FA grounds each structure to the site and responds to the project’s unique set of conditions. Design solutions are discovered in response to a project’s unique constraints and issues. scale, mass, function, sustainability, city and neighborhood fabric, planning and zoning codes, and the process of building are all factors that can inform organic, original solutions. MW.FA uses these opportunities and limitations to create significant, signature buildings.
