2021 City Leaders Breakfast Series Presented By: Psomas

We are delighted to announce that the AIA LA City Leaders Breakfast Series will resume as a virtual “bring-your-own-coffee & breakfast” event.  For 2021, we’re aiming for 25+ receptions to showcase the numerous membership-based organizations that provide professional leadership in the A/E/C industry.

Our second in this series will feature the President of the Association for Women in Architecture and Design (AWA+D).

We are organizing these receptions as opportunities for the architecture & design community to hear from the leadership of numerous A/E/C organizations and the specific initiatives each organization is helping to advance.

Meg Rushing Coffee – President, Association for Women in Architecture and Design (AWA+D)

Meg Rushing Coffee is a licensed landscape architect in Los Angeles, CA. Most of her 20 years of practice is in residential design with experience in commercial & public projects as well. Her work has been featured in Regional Landscape Architecture: Southern California (2019) by Jeffrey Head; LUXE Interiors + Design, Garden Design, and Landscape Architecture Magazine.

Before starting her own practice in 2013, Meg was a landscape architect with Pamela Burton & Company, OLIN, Marmol Radziner & Associates, and The Office of James Burnett. She received her Master of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.

In addition to her design work, Meg has been an Instructor in the Landscape Architecture Program at UCLA Extension since 2002, is President of the Association for Women in Architecture and Design (AWA+D), and serves on the County of Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors Marina del Rey Design Control Board.
