ADVOCACY
URBAN DESIGN REVIEW SESSIONS 2020
PHOTO: Natalie Dalton

The Urban Design Review Sessions are a mechanism by which leading design talent help the Los Angeles Department of City Planning’s Urban Design Studio review upcoming projects located in the City.

Organized by the AIA|LA, the sessions enable architects and designers to provide insightful and critical design feedback on pending projects that will be reviewed by the Planning Commission, on a rotating pool basis. AIA|LA members participate in any given 2, 3 or 4 sessions of the twenty-four per year organized.

During sessions, AIA|LA members help educate city planning staff on urban design issues and complex urban typologies and have the opportunity to provide project specific urban design advice for planning staff’s consideration.
