Upgrading Your Architectural Toolkit With The Latest Audiovisual Technologies

Learning Units: 1LU

This is a virtual event.  Virtual meeting information will be email directly to registrants.

The materials available to architects have never been more varied or sophisticated, thanks to the emergence of new audiovisual technologies that are bringing spaces to life in unprecedented ways that are both immersive and brand-defining.

The availability of 4K and 8K displays; large-scale, custom-sized videowalls; immersive and generative content; projection mapping; positional audio, and more are allowing architects to convert spaces into experiences that ‘wow’ visitors, define brands for a new generation — and ultimately deliver better business outcomes.

However, to best capitalize on these increasingly sophisticated AV technologies, they must be considered as part of the structural design process, rather than viewed as an afterthought to be managed elsewhere – and leading architects in Asia and Middle East are proving this point with recent wins that incorporated AV elements into the building’s structural design.

This panel session, moderated by AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, will gather experts from the fields of architecture and technology to discuss the ways the latest audiovisual and digital technologies are being used, key emerging tech trends that are impacting the industry, best practices on effective collaboration between architects, technologists, and brands, and much more.

Learning Objective:

+ Participants will have an overview and understanding of the many new technologies that are readily available to be used in the architectural design of any type of space.

+ Participants will have a working knowledge of the audiovisual technologies most commonly being used by architects today – and an introduction to the newer technologies that are likely to become popular tomorrow.

+ Participants will have a foundational understanding of how to ‘design with technology’ from the very inception of a project.

+ Participants will know who to reach out to in the world of audiovisual integration and content creation to help them realize their vision.

+ Participants will understand how to present to their clients the better business outcomes being created by designing with technology.
