Los Angeles River Master Plan Update

Los Angeles River Master Plan Update

AIA LA GO! Roundtable Discussion

A draft of the Los Angeles County River Master Plan is currently available for review and public comment. As a forum to collect feedback from the architecture and design community, we’ve organized a virtual roundtable discussion to further connect with the leading consultants. After they’ve shared their presentation, we’ll coordinate a Q&A to solicit your critical insight, ideas, and recommendations.

The Los Angeles River, which spans 51 miles from Canoga Park to Long Beach and encompasses 2,300 acres of primarily publicly owned land, serves as an integral piece of daily life across LA County.

The LA River Master Plan is an update of the LA County 1996 LA River Master Plan and incorporates new research and data to inform the plan from start to finish. The Master Plan will improve funding opportunities in a coordinated and collaborative manner with consideration for each community along the river’s path.

Over the next 60 days, the draft will be circulated for public comment.

If you’re not available on May 5th, we encourage you to visit larivermasterplan.org and provide your feedback directly to LA County Department of Public Works.
