Ashley Richardson, AIA, LEED AP, a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, is an associate at Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects. As an Architect and Project Manager on some of the firms largest and most complex projects, Ashley enjoys managing large teams to ensure seamless documentation and delivery, while building strong client relationships. Ashley is the Chair of the 2018 Design Awards Committee for AIA Los Angeles.
Becky is a designer with Johnson Fain and the 2018 Vice Chair of the AIA Design Awards Committee. Trained in both architecture and urban design, with over 15 years of design and construction experience, Becky brings a collaborative approach and unique skill set and to every project. Her portfolio includes work on a variety of project types and scales including: design charrettes, master planning, urban streetscapes, large scale mixed use projects, and high-rise residential and office interiors. Becky also has considerable experience with project programming, and the development of design criteria, guidelines and standards for retail, mixed-use and academic projects.
An architect by training and marketing strategist by inclination, Leslie Young brings an unusual combination of skills and experience to her work. As Associate Partner and Director of Strategic Development for STIR Architecture, she works closely with firm leadership to pursue market opportunities and support the partners with an integrated client development program. Her work is informed by over 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry where she has been involved in architectural planning, design, project management and marketing. Her architectural portfolio includes a range of projects from large-scale mixed-use to academic and civic buildings. In her current role at STIR Architecture, an internationally recognized architectural practice with offices in Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Manila, Leslie is actively involved in the assessment of mixed-use, retail and transit–oriented development markets in the US, Europe and Asia.
Deena Weiner Widran is a California licensed Architect. She received a BA in Art from the University of Wisconsin in Madison Wisconsin and an M-Arch from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Deena worked at VOA (now Stantec) in Chicago prior to moving to Los Angeles. Her first job in LA was at Los Angeles Air Force Base, eventually being promoted to Chief of Design. She then worked as an Associate for Caldwell Architects for 8 ½ years until 2009 when the public architecture market virtually disappeared. Necessity required her to shift gears in 2012 when she began working in business development for the A/E/C industry and is currently the Business Development Manager for Southern California for Degenkolb Engineers. Deena has been an active member of AIA/LA on the Design Awards Committee, Co-Chairing the event in 2017. She is also involved with the Women in Architecture group and is currently involved with helping to plan the 2018 Powerful conference.
