A seasoned architect and medical planner, Chai Jayachandran has dedicated her career to understanding complex health system design and how to create solutions that advance patient outcomes. Her experience includes the design and planning of specialty hospitals including Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, Children’s and Ambulatory hospitals. Some of her most rewarding projects are the system-wide master plan for Scripps Health, Providence Tarzana Hospital, and Swedish First Hill. Chai’s solutions are both strategic and detail oriented. She avidly listens to users in order to develop innovative programming, planning and design solutions that improve the patient experience.

Eric Halm, AIA, LEED AP

Director of Business Development, Bernards

Eric Halm leads healthcare business development for Bernards, a Southern California-based general contractor and construction manager. A licensed architect and LEED® Accredited Professional, Eric leverages his 20 years of technical and marketing expertise to strengthen ties between owners, architects and engineers with Bernards’ estimating and operations leaders. Eric earned his Master of Architecture degree from UCLA, after completing his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley.

Parini Mehta brings over 10 years of experience in architecture, design, and medical planning to the firm. A leader in healthcare design, she previously managed projects for LAC+USC, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and several private developers. At CO Architects she guides the planning and design of high-performance buildings through a collaborative process with clients, consultants, and contractors. Parini holds a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
