Joice Kuo started her involvement with AIA|LA 2×8 Committee since 2017 to fulfill her passion in exhibition design and art installation.
Joice currently works as a job captain at NAC Architecture and is a registered LEED AP. With previous work experience at Torti Gallas + Partners as a designer, she has worked on a range of projects from K-12 education, multi-family housing, affordable housing and market-rate housing, senior housing, mixed-use projects, recreational facilities, and master planning in the US and overseas. Joice received her Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland at College Park, and Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio from the same school with a focus on sculpture and set design. As a student, she has done summer internships in the US and overseas in Shanghai and Taipei. The rewards of working in this profession of architecture are the chance to learn the culture and meet the people at wherever the projects take us to. Aside from work, Joice has a special interest in paper sculpture and woodworking. On her free time, she enjoys hiking in the mountains surrounding Southern California and beyond.
