AIA is your professional organization, comprised of a national body based in Washington DC, a state branch based in Sacramento, and local chapters such as the Los Angeles chapter. This provides us with a presence at all three levels of government—and allows our voice to be heard on issues affecting architects, the industry and the built environment.

Assoc. AIA is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:
• Recent graduate with a degree in architecture (special offer, learn more)
• Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
• Currently work under the supervision of an architect or hold a degree in architecture
• Faculty member in a university program in architecture


Your dues of $102.00* cover membership at all three levels, effective July 1 through Dec. 31, 2008.

* This promotion is for new Associates joining between July 1-September 30, 2008. Second year dues for Associates are currently $264; for the third year, the dues are $321; fourth year, $352; fifth year and each year thereafter, $383.

The AIA national component, California Council and AIA Los Angeles extend a special offer to individuals who have graduated with a degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school of Architecture. You must provide a copy of their diploma. This offer provides qualified individuals up to 18 months of free Associate membership in the AIA.
