Dear Prospective AIA Architect Member:
If you are licensed to practice architecture in the United States, you’re invited to be a part of the American Institute of Architects (AIA.) AIA provides a voice for the architectural professional that reaches every level of government. AIA members may also join any of the many Committees and Knowledge Communities for in-depth information, services, knowledge, and career needs for your particular area of practice.
The use of the AIA credentials identify you as part of the architecture community. Your first-year dues of $272.50* cover membership at all three levels (national, state and local), effective today through December 31, 2008, when you join between July 1 and September 30, 2008.

1. a check for $272.50*, payable to AIA, or MasterCard or VISA billing information for this amount* (this covers your National, State and Local AIA dues through Dec. 31, 2008
2. A copy of your current architectural license

*CE Requirement is 18 hours/year, including 8 hours related to Health Safety and Welfare, and applies to all members in their second calendar year or thereafter. Dues are prorated at 50% of regular full year 2008 dues for AIA/LA architect members, which were $545.00. Membership dues are currently $639.00 for second year architects, and $699.00 for the third year and each year thereafter. Firm owners/managers pay a supplement of $118.00 or more starting the second year, based on the number of registered architects working for them.
**Architect members of the AIA/LA who work for a college or university are eligible for 1/2 off the local (AIA/LA) portion of your dues. The current total cost is $219.00 Please download or request the architect/educator membership application. National and State dues remain unchanged for educators.
