Request for Proposals: 2012 2x8 Student Exhibition Design Competition

Calling all architecture and design professors! The ten-year anniversary of the 2x8 Student Competition is in 2012; AIA Los Angeles needs your help to design the exhibition space that will house the students' work!

The 2x8 event has featured the works of over 150 students from over 15 architecture and design schools in California, raising over $100,000 since its inception ten years ago; students participating in 2x8 have reaped the benefits of being a part of such a prestigious competition.

AIA|LA's Associate Director, Carlo Caccavale, Hon. AIA|LA, states, "2012 will mark the 10th edition of the 2x8 exhibition and scholarship and we have decided to shake things up and offer a faculty member the prestigious opportunity to create and produce the 2012 2x8 exhibition." Carlo continues, "In the course of these 10 years, the 2x8 committee has created memorable exhibitions to honor the excellent quality of the projects submitted by the students of your school. For next year, we thought it would be great to hand down this great opportunity to one of the faculty members of your school."

Winning a 2x8 award from AIA|LA is indicative for what will come for these future architects - come take part in designing the exhibition space that will preview work of the next generation. More detailed information and registration form are attached.
