New Architectural Consulting On-Call List Summer 2012

Environmentally Sensitive, Innovative, Well Executed Designs for City Facilities

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering (BOE) will release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in the summer of 2012 for Architectural and Related Professional Services to establish a Pre-Qualified On-Call rotational list. We are interested in environmentally sensitive, innovative, well executed designs for City facilities. We utilize licensed architecture consultants to providde architectural and related professional services. Statements of Qualifications should include landscape architects, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, archaeologists, historical preservationists and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) experts.

The BOE will utilize the Architectural Consulting On-Call list to request proposals for specific future work. The potential projects are varied and provide important public facilities for City residents. In the past, we have used On-Call list for projects such as neighborhood city halls, libraries, gymnasiums, community centers, parks, tenant improvement and vehicle maintenance facilities.

We anticipate contracts to be executed around March 2013 and to have a 5 year duration. In order to ensure notification of the RFQ upon its release, firms should register at the City's Business Assistance Virtual Network (BAVN) at http://www.labavn.org/. This site will be the primary source of information for the RFQ.

The BOE will be holding informational meetings to explain the SOQ submittal process. Information regarding these meetings will be posted in BAVN.
