AIA National Position Statements

The AIA issues Public Policies and Position Statements as statements of belief to policy-makers, the public, and the construction industry on issues of public policy affecting the membership, the profession of architecture, and The American Institute of Architects. Your thoughts and comments on assisting in the development of the AIA Position Statements is a valuable and important aspect of shaping AIA policy to best represent the interests of the AIA and its members.

The statements were launched on August 15th and will remain open until October 15th. There are 24 statements up for review. To submit comments please use the following link.

The format has improved this year. Members will be able to react to specific questions on the statement by giving a range of acceptance from Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree. Comment boxes are also provided for each question where you may submit proposed changes and/or additional comments.

NOTE: This program for submitting comments "times out" after an hour. Only data not submitted will be lost. You can only open one statement at a time and can click submit. If it times out, you can simply log back in and open the statement you were working on.
