2010 2x8: VERGE Student Exhibit and Scholarship + Reception @ interfaceFLOR
June 26, 2010 (Los Angeles, CA) - Scholarship recipients of the 2010 2x8 Student Competition were announced Saturday, June 26 as part of the Mobius LA 2010 program on the Dwell on Design (DOD) Expo Floor. Students, Scholarship recipients and guests were hosted by interfaceFLOR for a reception immediately following the award ceremony.
Prior to announcing the scholarship winners, 2x8: VERGE, jury members Nick Seierup and Patrick Tighe sat down with Jason Gunt to discuss the 2010 2x8 Student projects.
Scholarships were given at 3 different levels to 7 recipients:
Honorary mention and Scholarship ($500):
- RICHARD ONG, Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design
$1,000 Scholarship:
- SALVADOR CEJA, STEPHEN NIETO and ANDREW HOLMGREN, UCLA
$1,000 Scholarship:
- MICHAEL LEUNG, University South California
$1,000 Scholarship:
- JOHN KLIEN, Sci Arc
$1,000 Scholarship:
- BRENDAN MUHA, UCLA
$2,000 Scholarship provided by our sponsor FORD Graphics:
- YU NONG KHEW, SCI Arc
$2,000 Scholarship provided by our sponsor Hinerfeld _Ward Inc:
