Gisue Hariri, along with her sister Mojgan Hariri, both Iranian born and Cornell educated, established their firm Hariri & Hariri - Architecture in New York City in 1986. The integration of digital technology, inventive use of materials, a sense of place, and social agenda - qualities often considered mutually exclusive in architecture – catalytically coexist in Hariri & Hariri’s dynamic work.

The firm’s work has been published and exhibited internationally and they have been recipients of numerous awards including the 2005 Academy Award in Architecture from the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Letters. In another prestigious milestone, they were inducted into the ‘Design Hall of Fame’ and were announced as a winner of “Women in Design Awards 2006”, celebrating talented individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of Architecture and Design. In 2006 they were also announced the winners of an international competition for an $80 million luxury residential project in Salzburg, Austria.

GISUE HARIRI will be introduced by Christopher Hawthorne, architecture critic, Los Angeles Times.
