What makes a successful urban street?

On Thursday, March 18, Landscape architect Patricia L. Smith will ask several pressing urban-related questions...

What makes a successful urban street?

Do we have any “great” or good streets in Los Angeles? (and, if so...) What makes them successful?

and finally, Can we have more successful streets?

Please join us as we search for answers to these questions concerning anyone who resides in an urban setting.

Patricia Smith, ASLA, AICP was founded in 1992. Pat Smith, founder and principal, has practiced as a planner, urban designer, and landscape architect, for more than 30 years, largely in Southern California. In addition to working as a consultant to both public and private sector clients, she has managed housing development and renovation projects for a development corporation.

Community involvement has been a key component of almost all these projects. In our experience, there is a consistent positive correlation between community involvement and project success.
