CYRIL SIBUSISO NDABA, the Consul-General of South Africa to the Great State of California and stationed in Los Angeles, was born in the coastal city of Durban. He received his early education in Durban and enrolled at the University of Zululand for law studies in 1978.
In the course of his studies, he was suspended from the University in 1981 for his political activism. He later completed his degree in 1986 and practised as a teacher before joining the diplomatic corps. Cyril Sibusiso Ndaba served as a diplomat first in New York 1995 - 1998, and in Rwanda from 2000-2004. Before his current assignment at the Counsul-General in Los Angeles, he was a Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 2004-2010.
