Temporary Insanity: The New Built Environment
Tuesday, January 31, 7 PM
Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The Decorative Arts and Design Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art presents a wide-ranging discussion on the influence of modern California design on contemporary architecture. Panelists will consider the emergence of temporary architectural installations, the blurring of distinctions between art and architecture, and future directions for the field. Organized in conjunction with the exhibition California Design 1930-1965: "Living in a Modern Way."

The panel features three prominent architects that are shaping the field today:

  • Benjamin Ball, Ball-Nogues Studio
  • Jenna Didier, Materials & Applications
  • Jenny Wu, Oyler Wu Collaborative
  • Frances Anderton, moderator and host of DnA: Design and Architecture on 89.9 KCRW and Los Angeles editor of Dwell
