Architectural writer Susan Morgan will discuss Esther McCoy's writings on the modernist architecture movement in Southern California, at the Architecture & Beyond Lecture Series.
WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 16, 6:45-7:45 p.m. WHERE: at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave., Los Angeles.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Morgan, who has written extensively on art, design and cultural biography, edited the newly published anthology, "Piercing Together Los Angeles: An Esther McCoy Reader." In addition, Morgan co-curated "Sympathetic Seeing: Esther McCoy and the Heart of American Modernist Architecture and Design," the exhibition on McCoy's life at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House in West Hollywood.
Skylights Books will be at the lecture, selling the McCoy anthology and other architecture-related books.
The Architecture & Beyond Lecture Series, now in its eighth year, is supported by the Friends of the Los Feliz Library and the Los Feliz Village BID.
