An Intro to Lean/IPD
There is a lot of buzz in the industry today about "lean processes". How are Lean philosophies changing the way we design and the way we interact with our team members? Where did these ideas come from, and what is their future?

Dave Hagan, the Director of Healthcare Project Development for BERNARDS, is a long-time lean advocate and an accomplished speaker on the topic. As a member of the Advisory Board for the Lean Construction Institute's rapidly growing Los Angeles chapter, Dave has given lean introductions to hundreds of design professionals throughout the West. Dave recently presented on "Lean Contracting Methodology" to the Construction Specifications Institute in Los Angeles, and was a presenter for the American College of Healthcare Architects Masters series In Las Vegas on "The Future of Alternative Delivery Methods".

He will discuss the history of lean theory, some practical techniques to get started on your lean journey, and will talk about how lean can have a positive influence on your firm's future.

Dave Hagan is a member of the ConsensusDOCS Advisory Committee, a LEED© AP, and an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects.

This promises to be an enlightening hour.
