Dear Prospective Associate AIA Member:

For more than 150 years, members of the American Institute of Architects have worked with each other and their communities to create valuable, healthy, secure,and sustainable buildings and cityscapes. If you fall under any one or more of the following categories, you’re invited to be a part of the leading organization representing the profession, The American Institute of Architects (AIA,) as an Associate member:

  • Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and/or working toward licensure

  • Currently work under the supervision of an architect

  • Hold a degree in architecture

  • Faculty member (not licensed) in a university program in architecture

Join during Q1 of 2018, and your dues of $298 cover your National, State & Local membership through 12/31/2018.*

New Associate/Educator or Government memberships are just $216.00, which covers National, State & Local membership through 12/31/2018.*

*Full year Associate renewal dues (for membership year Jan.-Dec. 2018) are currently $325.00 for second year members and $356.00 for the third year & thereafter (subject to change.) Members must join the local Chapter where they live or work and will be automatically assigned to that Chapter based on your ZIP code. Dues will vary depending on your local Chapter.

**Architect and Associate members who work for a college or university receive a discount on the local (AIA/LA) portion of your dues. Please see the associate educator application to calculate the correct Associate dues for educators. National and State dues remain unchanged.
