Dear Prospective Associate AIA Member:
If you fall under one of the following categories, you’re invited to be a part of the leading organization representing the profession, The American Institute of Architects (AIA,) as an Associate member:
Recent graduate with a degree in architecture
Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
Currently work under the supervision of an architect or hold a degree in architecture
Faculty member (not licensed) in a university program in architecture
**When you join between Oct. 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012, your dues of $273.00 cover membership at all three levels (national, state and local), effective through December 31, 2012. That's up to fifteen months of membership for the cost of twelve!***
New Associate/Educator or Government memberships are just $196.00.

*Full first year dues are regularly $273.00 for twelve months. Full year Associate dues (Jan.-Dec.) are currently $302.00 for second year members and $333.00 for the third year & thereafter. Members must join the local Chapter where they live or work and will be automatically assigned to that Chapter based on your ZIP code. Dues will vary depending on your local Chapter.
**Architect and Associate members who work for a college or university are eligible to take ½ off the local (AIA/LA) portion of your dues. Please see the associate educator application to calculate the correct Associate dues for educators. National and State dues remain unchanged.
