The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Los Angeles will host its annual Urban Marketplace event on Wednesday, April 12th from 7:15 AM to 12:00 PM at The REEF. Highlighting the annual theme ‘Make a Deal, Make a Difference’, the event is ideal for those involved with urban development and redevelopment projects throughout Los Angeles County. Urban Marketplace convenes the leaders, senior city staff, elected officials and deal makers who contribute to the vitality of our urban fabric. It is a conference and expo designed to promote real estate investment opportunities and development strategies for LA’s lower income and higher poverty neighborhoods.

This year’s event will feature an exclusive keynote panel addressing the topic of “Development Without Displacement: How Can LA Grow ‘Up’ Without Pushing People Out?”. Keynote speakers include the Hon. Hilda Solis, Los Angeles County Supervisor for the First District; Raphael Bostic, Bedrosian Chair in Governance and the Public Enterprise, USC Price School; Ken Lombard, President of MacFarlane Partners; Hasan Ikhrata, Executive Director of the Southern California Association of Governments; and Mark Vallianatos, Co-Founder of Abundant Housing LA.

The Keynote conversation will be followed by 20+ interactive roundtables led by industry leaders discussing topics that range from the next emerging markets to affordable housing, financing tools and innovative case studies.
