Los Angeles and its surrounding cities are a place of ‘ad-hoc urbanism’ - often shaped lot by lot through private mixed-use and multi-unit residential projects. These 30 to 100-unit endeavors address the street in various ways and with varying degrees of success.
But what about 800 plus unit projects that can span several blocks and re-shape entire precincts? Join AIA|LA’s Urban Design Committee as we dissect two “mega projects” proposed for metro L.A. – one in Culver City and the other in Los Angeles’ Arts District. It promises to be a robust discussion about extra-large projects and there outsized effect enhancing – or destroying – our urban experience.

We look forward to seeing you there.
