AIA|LA Urban Design Committee – LA Complete Streets & the Urban Street Design Guide

The Urban Design Committee is pleased to announce a presentation and discussion of NACTO’s Urban Street Design Guide. This guide is a game changer for the Complete Streets movement. It establishes standards that allow cities to readily implement streets that are both public space and multi-modal at the same time. The Urban Street Design Guide is being adopted in cities throughout California and the US.

Paul Moore, principal at Nelson/Nygaard and technical reviewer for the Urban Street Design Guide, and Abraham Sheppard, former City of LA planner for the Los Angeles Complete Streets Design Guide, will present how the NACTO Urban Street Design Guide is completely changing how streets are designed for cars, bikes, and pedestrians. They will also speak on the City of LA’s upcoming Complete Streets Manual.

Please join us on Thursday, April 9th at 7pm at the offices of Torti Gallas and Partners in Downtown LA.
