Transit Oriented Communities Affordable Housing Incentive Program

Pursuant to the voter-approved Measure JJJ, the City must create a new transit-based affordable housing incentive program called the Transit Oriented Communities Affordable Housing Incentive Program (TOC Program).  The program is intended to apply to housing and mixed-use projects with 5 or more units located within a 1/2 mile of Major Transit Stops (as defined by the state) that commit to providing a higher level of affordable housing than required by the density bonus program.

The Department of City Planning is working on creating the program and guidelines to implement it, which must be prepared by March 13th. The City looks forward to your input a we develop the TOC Program.

This AIA|LA working group session on March 3rd will serve as a chance to provide direct feedback to the City Planners who are working on the initiative.  We will also analyze this program in tandem with the proposed Affordable Housing Linkage Fee (draft attached).

For additional resources, please examine Section 6 in the Initiative.
