The new 2013 Title-24 Building Efficiency Standards take effect July 1, 2014 and represents the largest change to the energy code since its inception in 1977 - much more restrictive as it is part of the drive towards the Net-Zero goal of 2020. These changes will have significant impact on building design and construction.
