One Santa Fe (OSF) is a 510,000 sf mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles that creates a programmatic amalgam of new residential, retail, live-work and community spaces within the Arts District, transforming the city and its urban center.  Located along the eastern edge of downtown, OSF extends from 1st Street towards 4th Street along Santa Fe Avenue. The building’s 3/10th mile length echoes the linear forms of the surrounding regional infrastructure, including the Los Angeles River, rail lines, & the former freight depot that is now home to SCI-Arc.  The building negotiates multiple scales from the urban to the individual. The elevated upper floors form a single horizontal counterpart to the city's vertical skyscrapers while the ground plane is porous, drawing in the community with more intimately scaled architectural and landscape elements.  Currently under construction, Phase 1 of the project will be completed in September 2014 with two subsequent phases to be completed this year.
