AIA|LA Healthcare Committee presents

Virtual Reality (VR): beyond visualization

By now many of us have experienced the simple but powerful immersive virtual world of Google Cardboard. A great and fun tool to give clients a spatial feel for the proposed environment.

The logical next step for VR is realtime navigation and asking ourselves the question: How can we leverage all the meta data we have embedded into our BIM projects?

In this AIA|LA healthcare conversation we like to explore how HGA has been integrating VR technology into interactive client workshops to inform planning, functionality and design of specific healthcare projects.

The utilization of BIM meta data and realtime navigation in VR seems vast and limitless. We will showcase a few cutting edge tools HGA has been exploring. (e.g. Enscape, Unity, VIMtrek and others)

Afterwards we would like to invite attendants to a discussion about appropriateness, concerns and expectations of this technology going into the future.
