WiA Day at Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2019

Join AIA|LA’s Women in Architecture committee for a day filled with construction, giving, and connecting on a job site for SGV Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2019.

Help build the future homes of six wonderful families along with fellow women builders and their allies! No experience? No problem. Habitat’s construction professionals will provide guidance and instruction on the necessary construction procedures.

Breakfast and lunch are provided, along with snacks and bottled water throughout the day. Necessary personal protection and equipment will be provided at the site. Please dress accordingly – this is a construction site.

Habitat for Humanity’s annual Women Build brings awareness to the housing crisis and calls attention to the importance of affordable home ownership. This year SGV Habitat hopes to double the families served from 93 to almost 200.

Habitat for Humanity offers on-site events as part of its fundraising menu. Sponsors are graciously paying for the AIA|LA team to participate in SGV Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2019. They make it possible for you to enjoy this inspiring day and we are truly grateful to them.

Registration will cost $25 per participant, however, to pay for a water bottle distributed to attendees, to demonstrate your commitment to attending and to secure your spot on Saturday.

Please note, all attendees MUST complete a Habitat registration form as well to cover liability. You will receive these next steps once you’ve registered with us.
