The Architect’s Newspaper’s national Facades+ Conference comes to Los Angeles January 28-29, 2016
“We love coming to LA because its designer community is one of the most advanced and sophisticated in the world,” notes the publication’s Editor-In-Chief. “There is simply nothing else like it when it comes to architecture and design.”

In recent years, Los Angeles has seen an influx of international architects and is becoming one of the top cities for new architecture. Seeing this transformation, The Architect’s Newspaper has set its sights for California for its next Facades+ Conference in January.

RSVP on their website at www.facadesplus.com

Facades+ is the leading conference on high performance and high design building skins. The Day One Symposium, will feature keynote speakers Enrique Norten of TEN Arquitectos and Eric Owen of Eric Owen Moss Architects for its first day symposium.

This symposium brings together top minds in the field to discuss new innovations within façade technology specific to the Los Angeles area. The first day’s panel discussions include “Facade Education: Preparing Future Practitioners for True Performance,” which discusses how future architects and engineers are being taught the importance of building performance, and “Bytes, Dollars, EUI: Data Streams and Envelopes,” a panel delving into the complexities of designing facades and supporting structures in seismic zones, specifically focused on the West coast.

The second day of Facades+ will bring a hands-on learning opportunity to attendees: participants can choose to take either one Tech or two Dialogue Workshops conducted by industry experts in a small, one-on-one, classroom setting.

Over the two-day conference, attendees have the opportunity to earn up to 16 AIA HSW credits.

Join the robust dialogue that covers all aspects of building envelopes and is the key to building systems integration resilient buildings and a sustainable built environment. Architects, fabricators, developers, consultants, and other design professionals are all welcome.
