AIA|LA & LADBS Present:
The LADBS Water Conservation Ordinance, A  Roundtable Discussion

The Department of Building and Safety has completed a Draft Ordinance (proposing a number of code revisions to reduce the use of potable water related to building construction to comply with Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Executive Directive No.5 and City Council motions pertaining to greywater systems and groundwater discharge.

If issues regarding the drought, long term sustainability, or Department of Building and Safety policies are of interest to you as an architect, this is your chance to review the draft ordinance and share your specific concerns and recommendations for how to improve upon the draft language in the ordinance, etc.

This meeting may also serve as a chance to learn more about the current status of Council File 14-1478 and the City Energy Project and the current initiative to improve water and energy efficiency in existing buildings.
