Hello, my name is Sean Rogan, Executive Director of the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles. I’m proud to say that our agency is a creative and innovative public organization comprised of skilled professionals committed to Building Better Lives and Better Neighborhoods for the residents and business owners of Los Angeles County. We are dedicated to providing our services in the most effective and efficient manner, which allows us to maximize the benefit of each dollar we receive. Through the commitment of our employees, and the motivation and forward thinking of our management team, we continue to receive the highest performance designations from our primary funder, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Operating out of our administrative building in the City of Alhambra, the CDC serves as the community and economic development arm of Los Angeles County. Each year, we invest millions of dollars to develop or preserve high-quality affordable housing for the County’s residents. We are focused on strengthening communities by encouraging business expansion to increase job creation, and making communities more enjoyable by bringing community centers, parks, libraries, and retail establishments closer to home. To accomplish this, we partner with multiple entities, including participating cities, community-based organizations, other County Departments, as well as private and non-profit developers.
Each of the programs and projects you read about on our website, demonstrates our commitment to addressing the needs of the communities we serve. Through our programs, the CDC has combated the County’s housing shortage, revitalized local communities, and helped County residents locate valuable resources. We encourage you to visit the other pages on our website, and see what assistance we can provide.
