Biophilia is the innate human connection to nature. Those deeply committed to its research state that it is a basic human need akin to regular exercise and healthy food. It is not a cultural amenity or individual preference, but critical to human function. There are over 100 studies pointing to the health benefits from human-nature connections. This short presentation will focus on emerging design trends in biophilia and the potential health benefits and economic savings it has to offer. We hope that it spurs creative and lively conversation around how your projects can benefit from biophilic design.
