Location: The Forum - 9045 Lincoln Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045
Time: 6:30 PM

"The story of Mexico City, since the second half of the 20th century, cannot be narrated without the work of the architect Teodoro González de León. His intellectual devotion defined the urban fabric where his buildings rise like bastions of order among the chaos of the enormous city. Filmed in his last months of life, this documentary visits some of the spaces and memories that branded his intellectual and artistic life with the architect, drawing a route between Teodoro González de León’s most important works and the way he thought about spaces.

Teodoro González de León was born in 1926. He took part in the workshop of Le Corbusier, participating on the building teams of the Unité d’Habitation de Marseille and L’Usine Duval de St. Dié in France. Back in Mexico with Abraham Zabludovsky he designed the Infonavit building, El Colegio de México, the Rufino Tamayo Museum and the Auditorio Nacional. He is co-author of the original project of the campus of University City of National University of Mexico (UNAM). By his own he is author of the Fondo de Cultura Económica building, the Mexican Hall from the British Museum, the urban set “Reforma 222”, the University Museum for Contemporary Arts (MUAC), and most recently, the Towers Virreyes and Manakar on Mexico City. He passed away in his Mexico City studio in September 2016.

Miquel Adrià (Barcelona, 1956) graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) and earned a doctorate in architecture from the European University of Madrid. In  moved to Mexico where he has developed a career that combines architectural practice, teaching, and criticism.
