AIA|LA & USGBC-LA: Renewable Energy Can Be Beautiful

Join USGBC-LA + AIA-COTE for a wine and cheese event to network and meet the founders of the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI). An international design competition takes place every two years with a different landmark designated as the design site. Teams are asked to create designs that harness energy from nature and transfer it to the grid. The 2016 design competition site is in Southern CA and lines up beautifully with Greenbuild 2016. We'll discuss connections and possibilities for our Legacy Project to be built and donated to the City.

The main goal of the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) is to design and construct public art installations that have the added benefit of utility-scale clean energy generation. Each sculpture will continuously distribute clean energy into the electrical grid, with each having the potential to provide power to thousands of homes.
