Date: May 30th, 2014, 8am
Location: Morris, Polich & Purdy LLP. 1055 W 7th St #2400, Los Angeles, CA 90017

Mehrdad Farivar, Esq., FAIA

Each speaker will take 15-20 minutes to show visual highlights of recent design-build projects their companies have built or are currently engaged in. The projects will be both public and private. In the process of describing these projects speakers will weave in their companies' approach and methodology to design-build projects, focusing in particular on pre-construction services and early buy-out, as well as the use of BIM and any special software that aids the process. They will also highlight differences in approach, if any, between public versus private projects.

Following the presentations there will be a panel discussion for about 30 minutes, where speakers will expand on some of the issues pointed out above and talk about the relationship of the design-builder to the design professionals at various stages of the design-build process.
