The 2013 AIA Los Angeles Restaurant Design Awards (RDA) Call for Entry opens Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
AIA|LA is looking for individuals and practices (both restaurant owners and architects/designers) for projects located in the United States or projects outside of the USA done by US-based architects/designers. Submissions are accepted in three main categories: restaurant, café/bar and lounge/nightclub.

Margot Dougherty is a copy writer/editor at One Kings Lane and the former food and Dining Guide editor at Los Angeles magazine. She is also a contributing editor at zesterdaily.com and her freelance articles have appeared in Los Angeles, Dwell, More and Condé Nast Traveler among other magazines.
Warner Ebbink - Restaurateur (101 Coffee Shop, Tom Bergin's, Dominick's, Little Dom's)
Co-Owner Warner Ebbink is a native Angeleno whose passion for restaurants extends beyond cuisine, leading him to his four current ventures, 101 Coffee Shop, Dominick’s, Little Dom’s and Tom Bergin’s Tavern, all proudly reflecting the fabric and integral involvement in their respective neighborhoods.
During his spare time, Ebbink pursues his passion for architecture by restoring vintage homes.
George Kelly, AIA- President & Principal Architect, Kelly Architects
While a partner with a major design firm, George recognized that bar, nightclub and restaurant businesses were not being adequately served by experienced Architects. Kelly saw an opportunity to raise the standards and bring professional architectural design services to these entrepreneurs. In 2003 he founded, Kelly Architects. Since its formation, the firm has successfully completed over 50 projects per year and can boast a roster of repeat clients and referrals that reflects on the personal service each and every client deserves. He has also been the recipient of numerous Restaurant Design Awards.
