There are several ways in which you can get involved to support the local community members.
Mentor youth interested in the Architecture profession
- Elementary: Para Los Niños
Volunteer for the Architectural Mentoring Program, originally created in collaboration with the AIA Los Angeles chapter, teaching students architecture at the Para Los Niños Family Learning Complex, a school that serves students living in the poorest communities of Los Angeles.
- Middle School: Spark
Spark is a national nonprofit that provides life-changing apprenticeships to youth from disadvantaged communities. Spark one-on-one workplace apprenticeships empower young people to succeed in their education and beyond.
- High School: ACE Mentorship
The ACE name stands for Architecture, Construction and Engineering. The ACE program helps to mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction.
- Interns: IDP Mentorship
IDP Mentors are licensed architects who volunteer to guide one or more interns through the Intern Development Program (IDP).
